Klaus Sachs-Hombach


Klaus Sachs-Hombach studied Philosopy, Psychology und German philology at the university Münster. He received the PhD in 1990 at the university Münster and his habilitation 2003 at the university of technology Chemnitz. From 1993 to 1994 research in Oxford and at the MIT in Cambridge (MA). In 2007 professor in philosophy (main topic: cognitive science) at the university of technology Chemnitz and 2011 professor in media science (main topic: media change and media innovation) at the university Tübingen. Founder and head of the online platform „Virtuelles Instituts für Bildwissenschaft” (VIB) and the online journal “IMAGE. Journal for interdisciplinary image science”. He ist he founder of „Gesellschaft für interdisziplinäre Bildwissenschaft (GIB)“.
