Adrian Kvokacka


Dr. Adrián Kvokačka, former head of Department of Aesthetics, is an academic lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov, Slovakia. He received his Ph.D. on history of philosophy / aesthetics with a thesis “Philosophical and aesthetical aspects of the notion sublime in Kant and History of Philosophy“. His main fields of research are: theory of aesthetics, French postmodernism, Kantian aesthetics, Slovak aesthetics, everyday aesthetics and visual culture. Member of International Association of Aesthetics, European Society of Aesthetics, British Society of Aesthetics. co-founder and secretary of Slovak Society of Aesthetics, former member of Advisory board of ESTETIKA: Central European Journal of Aesthetics.
