Akos Krassoy

 

Akos Krassoy received his PhD from the Institute of Philosophy, University of Leuven. The title of his thesis is Spectacle and Critique. A phenomenological theory of art in Levinas (2014). He has published various journal articles (Estetika, Levinas Studies, Studia Phaenomenologica, The AnaChronisT) on Levinas’s ethical-critical problematic of art, the phenomenology of literature and the democratic project of the modern novel. His current research focuses on the communicational capacities of art in contrast with those of the public sphere, through the prism of ethical phenomenology (Levinas and Sartre). The title of the project is “Infection: the Ethics of Art in the Context of the Public Space”.
